Under Armour: Product Review, Spring Line

Under ArmourUnder Armour recently sent Boston Fitness Magazine a package with some of their newest, hottest apparel and footwear for the Spring. The new Micro G Toxic Running shoe may have set a standard for the future of running shoes. It is beyond the “minimalist” shoe that most brands have available now. The Micro G Toxic shoe has an anatomically correct mid-sole to help your foot move naturally. The position of the laces is noticeable right away, as they are not centered. The reason for this is to relieve tension off of the many bones and tendons that are on top of your feet. By doing this, your joints can move in their natural bio-mechanical fashion.

Under ArmourThe Escape 7 shorts, which are built for runners are super light weight material with a built in lining to hold “everything” in place. Also, the Cold black short sleeve t-shirt has a revolutionary fabric technology that won’t get hot in the sun. So, dark colors stay cooler, and lighter colors are like nothing else out there.

The next pair of sneakers were the Charge RC 2. This shoe is lightweight and it works with your anatomy. They use their Heat Gear fabric to wick sweat away, and a Micro G foam will cushion your landing and propel you into your next stride. They cut no corners with this shoe, plus they look slick!

Under ArmourFor women, we tried the Fly-By Stretch Mesh Tank, which is very breathable, mesh material with a racer back to unlock mobility. There are smooth, “flatlock seams” to prevent chafing no matter how hard you work. The tank also features a “moisture transport system” to wick sweat away from the body to keep you cooler, dryer, and more comfortable. Another mesh tank was the Victory Pinney with an extended length to fit below the hips. This is perfect to wear over any tank top.

For shorts, we have the Get Set Go short, Under Armour’s slimmest shorts. They feature a wide knit waist for comfort, and a built-in brief for “extra peace of mind.” The Compression Capri pants featured stretch mesh panels to dump excess heat as you get warm. There is also a hidden pocket for your keys or smart phone/ipod!
