Ultimate Bootcamp’s Thanksgiving Workouts Give Back

The holidays are a time to give thanks and to give back, and Ultimate Bootcamp is doing both on Thanksgiving Day this year.

Every year, Ultimate Bootcamp holds a series of Thanksgiving Workouts that donate 100% of the proceeds to a partner charity. This Thanksgiving Day, the profits from the 75-minute Boston workout will benefit St. Francis House. Proceeds from the Watertown workout will go to Perkins School for the Blind.

St. Francis House functions as the largest day shelter in New England, serving more than 800 homeless individuals daily. They provide shelter, clothing, food, substance abuse counseling and medical and mental health care to all in need.

Perkins School for the Blind, founded over 180 years ago, is famous for working with Helen Keller and helping the visually impaired around the world. Perkins resides on a 38-acre campus in Watertown and has formed partner programs in 65 other countries. The staff at Perkins work to provide education and advancement to the blind, deafblind or visually impaired in need of services.

Attendees of the Thanksgiving Day Workouts can burn calories before indulging in turkey and stuffing later in the day, all while doing some good in the process.

The 6th annual Thanksgiving Day Blast workouts will kick off at Arsenal Park in Watertown at 8 a.m. and at Boston Common at 8:30 a.m. Registration costs $25, with 100% of the fee being donated to the respective charities.
