Welcome to part 4 on shaping those tricky triceps! Zayna Gold and Boston Body Pilates team, Danae Gil de Rubio and Alissa Leonard, show you Triceps Presses. With Tricep Presses we are using our own body weight as resistance so that our triceps get extra toning. The triceps are short for the triceps brachii muscle, which is the large muscle on the back of the upper arm. The name “tri” ceps has more meaning than you may think. Literally a 3-headed muscle — the long head, medial head and the lateral head. In order to properly work out and tone this area, we have to fatigue all three heads. Each of our Tricep toning weekly workouts use 3 different hand positions that effectively fatigue the 3 heads of the triceps. If you thought this area was hard to tone, this series will change all of that.
