The triceps are short for the triceps brachii muscle, which is the large muscle on the back of the upper arm. The name “tri” ceps has more meaning than you may think. The triceps are literally a 3-headed muscle – the long head, medial head and the lateral head. In order to properly work out and tone this area, we have to fatigue all three heads. Each of our Tricep toning weekly workouts use 3 different hand positions that effectively fatigue the 3 heads of the triceps.
