3 Deadly Foods
A few years back George W singled out 3 of our “enemies” as the “Axis of Evil.” Basically, he felt these were the biggest threats to the US and the world.
Well, today I want to share with you what I consider 3 of your biggest enemies right here on our own soil.
This new axis of evil is literally killing people (slowly) through deceptive tactics and under the radar brainwashing.
The good news is that you have the power to immediately subdue these enemies by just changing how you view certain foods and by making alternate choices.
So, here is the new axis of evil that we must rise up against:
Axis of Evil Member #1: Oxidized Oil
Think about this… Every time you cook your food in any oil other than real butter or coconut oil you are oxidizing the oil, which when consumed allows a massive flow of free radicals to scavenger around your body creating chaotic cellular damage. This is one BIG reason why you begin to look older and feel worn out.
My suggestion is to save those monounsaturated (and poly) fats that are liquid at room temperature like olive oil or flax oil and instead use them after the meal has been served as a dressing – not to cook with.
Believe it or not, most meals do NOT need oil for cooking. A little water suffices for lightly cooking vegetables and for other foods I suggest ghee, real butter, or coconut oil since these fats will not oxidize during the course of normal cooking.
And, if you use fake butter or margarine IMMEDIATELY throw it out when you get home (synthetic foods = poor health)!
Axis of Evil Member #2: Fake Hydration
Did you know that anything that isn’t pure H20 must first be filtered by your body in order to be used to truly hydrate your over 60 trillion cells?
True story, and that’s why it’s so important that you aim for about half your body weight in ounces of water each day. 70% of our muscles is water and 83-90% of our blood is water, so needless to say, coffee, tea, energy drinks, colored sports drinks, etc., aren’t going to give your body what it needs.
Of course, if you really listen, your body is telling you when it is dehydrated all day long by giving you hints, like feeling tired, hungry, brain fog, or just plain out of it.
This is besides the fact that most non-H20 beverages come along with other additives like food coloring (paint), sugar, artificial sweeteners, dairy, or caffeine…
Axis of Evil Member #3: “White Death”
Sugar will kill you.
Not today or tomorrow, but that’s why it’s so deceptive.
Plus, marketing companies love to disguise sugar in other forms like fructose, HFCS, starch fillers, agave, and other food additives. Not to mention that any processed grain or starch (like wheat or corn) is often times worse than consuming straight table sugar, since it has the same or worse effect of blood sugar levels.
And what happens when our blood sugar levels spike? Insulin, the fat storing hormone, pulls the excess sugar out of the blood and stores it as, you guessed it, fat. This is why my online and studio clients are able to lose belly fat so quickly, since when we tighten up their nutrition, their waistline follows suit…
So what do all these members of the new axis of evil have in common?
They create massive free radical damage in your body. And guess what… eventually your body’s reserves (enzymes, minerals, antioxidants, etc.) can’t keep up and they begin losing battle after battle.
And what happens when you continue losing soldiers in battle and your enemy has you retreating with each new day?
Eventually you lose the war.
And for many people that means auto-immune diseases, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and yes, eventually death…
Not a pretty picture, but the great news is that YOU CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!
By making a contract with yourself to first limit, and then eliminate, the members of the axis of evil you will begin to win more battles than you lose. You will slowly recruit more troops (for keeping peace, not making war) and eventually you will regain energy, drop body fat, and regain your health.
Remember, your enemy loses power when you refuse to play game. Turn your back on cooked (fried) oils and “white death,” while consuming straight H2O with a little lemon or ginger for flavor if you’d like.
Heck, if enough of us refuse to buy processed nutrient deficient foods, manufacturers will be forced to stop making those products and begin actually selling real food. Now that is something to strive for and look forward to!
